Who we are
The Seven Sisters portfolio of grape-based spirits is nurtured in the Rathfinny Estate, nestled in the South Downs in East Sussex. The Seven Sisters team expertly blends grape spirit from each year’s harvest into a limited quantity of gin, vermouth and a unique Grape Spirit No. 1.
Every bottle is a vintage, rare in its own right, the grapes coming from just one year’s harvest.
What makes us different/unique?
The magic of the Seven Sisters range rests on the grapes that are grown on the slopes of the Rathfinny Estate. The chalk terrain of our land plays an integral part in our flavour-profile, as does the skill and care taken by the vineyard team every step of the way, ensuring that the grapes reach perfect ripeness, with a balance of acidity and sugars that goes on to give our Seven Sisters drinks their unique flavour.
These grapes then go to our state-of-the-art Winery where the first two pressings are blended to create our celebrated Sussex Sparkling wine. We then make a unique still wine from the third pressing of these grapes, the Rebêche, and this forms the basis of our spirit range.
The wine goes on to be distilled in small batches in copper stills with multi-chambered fractioning columns. This enables us to craft and control the balance of each Seven Sisters spirit, allowing different aromatic characteristics of the wine to shine through.
Every bottle is a vintage, rare in its own right, the grapes coming from just one year’s harvest, different and unique, expressing flavours of the year’s growth in every sip.
